Jeff led Regulatory Strategy for Kalshi. He is known as the regulatory strategist profiled in Forbes who worked with the founders from inception to "wrangle" the CFTC to regulate Kalshi after over 40 lawyers and law firms turned the Kalshi founders down.

Mr. Bandman is Board Director of Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC) and was co-founder of the Global Digital Finance Initiative (GDF.io) to establish an industry-driven global code of conduct for cryptoassets, and chair the Regulator Forum.

At Yale he was a Lecturer in Global Affairs on Cryptoassets, Blockchain and Public Policy teaching a senior Capstone seminar in the Yale Jackson Institute for Global Affairs.

Mr. Bandman was a senior official at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission from 2014-2017. As FinTech Advisor to Chairman Giancarlo, he was Founding Director and architect of LabCFTC, the CFTC's hub for engagement with FinTech innovation. He chaired the CFTC blockchain, virtual currency and FinTech working group from inception. He was Special Counsel to Chairman Timothy Massad, led the CFTC Office of International Affairs, & led the CFTC Division of Clearing and Risk, which oversees many of the world’s largest clearinghouses. He led negotiations resulting in “Clearinghouse Equivalence” with the European Commission. and established long sought arrangements for systemically important US clearinghouses to have Fed accounts.

Mr. Bandman worked in the financial industry in New York and London as an attorney and business executive. He led market structure initiatives, and rebuilt Cantor Fitzgerald’s market data business after the events of September 11, 2001.

Mr. Bandman graduated from Yale magna cum laude, with honors in History and English, and from Stanford Law School with honors as a member of the “Order of the Coif”. He is a six-time Jeopardy! Champion, and spent his winnings backpacking.
